Questions?

We've gathered answers to some of the questions we receive most often. If you can't find what you're looking for, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal Attire.

Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a suit. Ladies are encouraged to wear a cocktail dress, formal dress, or elegant evening attire.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors?

Answer

Yes.

Both the ceremony at St. Ignatius Parish and the reception at The Battle House will take place indoors.

Question

Can I take photos or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that our ceremony be unplugged.

Please silence your phone and keep it put away during the ceremony. We have hired a professional photographer and will be happy to share photos after the wedding.

More than anything, we want everyone to be fully present with us in the moment - and we would love for our ceremony photos to show your faces, not phones.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Yes.

We want everyone to enjoy the celebration and are happy for guests to bring a date or plus-one. When you RSVP, you'll see the guests currently included with your invitation. If someone in your party is missing, simply answer "Yes" to the RSVP question asking if we left anyone out, and we'll reach out to get it corrected.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Yes, children are welcome at both the ceremony and reception.

For parents who would prefer a kid-free evening, we're also happy to help coordinate with local babysitters we know, including the option of having a sitter stay with children at the hotel.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have reserved a room block at The Battle House Hotel for any guests who would like to stay at the reception venue. Booking information and room block details can be found on the website.

Question

Is parking scarce in downtown Mobile?

Answer

Valet parking is available at The Battle House, and there is a large parking garage adjacent to the hotel for guests who prefer to self-park.
